Look like, I like him too…

I, somehow have a conclusion that every syeikh has his own argument about something or someone. But, it is when he made a wise statement, not a judgemental statement and when he doesnt “own” opinion but according to Quran and sunnah, I decided he is worthed to listen. And besides ustd Nouman Ali, Mufti Menk, and Jasmine Mogahed, Dr. Muhammad Salah is one of the “wise” , in shaa Allah.

From him I learn that, Islam might be devided into 73 sects, if we have a doubt about something, we go back to Quran and sunnah, try to find the answer there, and if it is ok according to them, then it is ok, but if its not mentioned by quran and sunnah, leave it. Quran and sunnah is our guidence, not a leader of a sect, not even a syeikh…. they are human like us… but not with Quran and sunnah…

“Bila kalian menemukan dalam kitabku sesuatu yang berlainan dengan Hadits Rasulullah, peganglah Hadits Rasulullah itu dan tinggalkanlah pendapatku itu.” (Imam As-Syafi’i)

“Janganlah engkau taqlid kepadaku atau kepada Malik, Syafi’i, Auza’i, dan Tsauri, tetapi ambillah dari sumber mereka mengambil.” (Imam Ahmad bin Hambal)
